Geoffrey and Embong meet as students at The Scots College in Sydney. Geoffrey has arrived from Los Angeles to begin again after his life there is abruptly torn apart. Embong, by contrast, is already settled in Sydney with his family, grounded and observant, unsure at first of the quiet American boy who keeps mostly to himself.
What begins as a simple school friendship slowly deepens through shared routines, unspoken understanding, and moments of loyalty both small and defining. As Geoffrey struggles with grief and displacement, Embong becomes his steady anchor. Over time, their bond grows beyond friendship, evolving into a brotherhood forged not by blood, but by choice—one that will reshape both their lives and redefine what home truly means.
